UPC

The UPC field provides the 12-digit Universal Product Code and 5-digit supplements for all items which carry a UPC. Example 75960608857704611
Within the UPC field there are key pieces of information that should be conveyed.
The first digit represents the number system character, the second set of five digits represents the manufacturer code (or in our case publisher code), the next set of five digits represent the product code (or in our case series code), the next digit is a check code which is generated by the UPC system.
The final five digit code represents the supplemental data for a publication.
This is expressed as one of two format types where I = issue, C = cover, and P = printing IIICP - three digits for issue number, one digit for cover, and one digit for printing IICCP - two digits for issue number, two digits for cover, and one digit for printing You may choose either system, but whatever you choose must be used for the entire run of a title. BE AWARE: IICCP means you can only have 99 issues in a series.

Notes: When deciding on an ICP formatting, you will need to abide by that format for the entire duration of the UPC's lifetime.
You can't start using IICCP, and then decide after issue 100 to use IIICP because those Supplemental codes will have already been used in previous issues.
ISBN

The ISBN field provides the 13-digit International Standard Book Number for all items which carry an ISBN.

EAN

The EAN is 13-digit International Standard Book Number + the additional 5 characters in price.

Notes: Each new printing with a price change will have a different 18 digit EAN.
Multiple EAN's may share the same ISBN (13 digit number).
FullTitle

The Full Title field encompasses the full title of an item. This field may contain relevant information such as series number and variant information, where applicable.

Periodicals put a "#" before the SeriesNumber (for example, "#1"). Collected editions use the plain number with no "#" and no leading zero (for example, "Volume 1", not "Volume 01").
The bracketed names above refer to COMET fields. [FormatType Description] is the description of the PrimaryFormatType code in the FormatType pick list (for example, "Hardcover"). Leave out any part whose field is empty. The cover-difference text comes from CoverDescription; there is no "VariantDescription" field.
Write the FullTitle in Title Case. The CoverDescription portion may stay in sentence case.
PriceUSD

The PriceUSD field includes the suggested retail price in US dollars that is printed on the product. Note that this field will not include a dollar sign ($). Also known as the MSRP.

ProductCategory

The ProductCategory is the categorization that the product falls under for taxation purposes.
